Vintage Glamour Weddings Napkin Rings: Cameo Napkin Rings

To Make These Vintage Glamour Wedding Napkin Rings You Will Need:

Cameos

Black Velvet Ribbon

Gold Paint Pens

Snaps

Needles

Black Thread

To get started you want to cut strips of the black velvet ribbon to about 5 inches long. Try to use a velvet ribbon that is at least 2 inches wide. The wider the ribbon, the more drama this vintage glamour napkin ring will have!

Now, Lay all the ribbons out on your table. You want them to be flat. Use the gold paint pen to outline the long edges of the ribbons. You don't have to do the short ends unless you wish to.

Let this paint dry.

Now, sew snaps on to each end of the ribbons. You want to have the female have of the ribbon be on the back side of one end. The male side of the snap should be on the front side of the other end.

This way when you wrap the black velvet ribbons around the napkins on your wedding reception table they stay in place.

Tip: If you are in a big hurry, having large wedding, or simply find sewing on snaps hugely annoying, then leave the ribbons about 12 inches long. They can be simply be tied on in a bow and still add the same glamorous vintage décor to your wedding.

Now, onto the cameos. I find reproduction cameo beads and necklace pendants for so little at craft stores. The are perfect for these vintage glamour wedding decorations.

Use that needle and thread to sew one to each of the black velvet ribbons. Right in the middle. You want this to stay in place.

If you do not have time to sew you can use a glue. Make sure this is a strong glue or they will simply pop off. I recommend a glue that says it works on fabric and metal. You will need to look fo these in the glue aisle at your craft store.
